Monroe Family Medical Center LPN Visits Local School
LPN Jewell Ellis at Monroe Family Medical Center proudly visited students at Gamaliel Elementary School in Tompkinsville, Kentucky on Friday, March 4. Jewell educated students about healthy habits including hygiene - when you cough, hand washing, and what happens when a child visits the doctor for a check-up or sick visit. Students also learned why Jewell chose to become a nurse.
CFMC, Inc. offers Scrubby Bear and Mr. Molar programs. Our "Scrubby Bear" program is very popular among elementary students. Scrubby enjoys visiting students and teaching them through story and action the importance of proper hand washing methods to avoid transference of germs that cause flu, golds, and other illnesses.
Our "Mr. Molar" program is instrumental in educating younger children on how to make their teeth last a life time. We talk about what foods are better for strong healthy teeth and the harm that sugary drinks can do to teeth if not brushed and taken care of properly.
