Healthy Kids Clinic School Based Health Centers Expand
CFMC, Inc. is excited to announce the expansion of our school based health centers through a partnership with the LaRue County school district. We are pleased to provide this service to parents and students. Our goal is to help create a healthier and more focused student body.
School-based health centers (SBHCs) complement the work of school nurses by providing a readily accessible referral site for students who are without a medical home. School nurses collaborate with SBHCs to provide an array of health services to keep students healthy, in school, and ready to learn. Onsite services offered include acute care visits, well child visits, physicals, and immunizations. Our licensed healthcare provider Katie Cruse, APRN, is a LaRue County native and graduate of LaRue County High School and Western Kentucky University. She is excited to work with our schools and students. Katie will be available during school hours on a rotational basis through LaRue County schools to provide these services.
Extending these wonderful services allows us to continue our mission to meet the needs of our service area by providing primary patient care in an environment that focuses on prevention of illness, therefore, improving the quality of life.
